Illinois Support Training and Employment Program
for Displaced Homemakers

The Illinois Support Training and Employment Program for Displaced Homemakers program assists students, male or female, who have been forced to seek employment outside the home due to divorce or separation, or because of a spouse’s death, disability, incarceration or unemployment. Its purpose is to further their education and training so they can find jobs to support themselves and their families. Participants in the program can receive help with tuition, fees, books and transportation as well as personal counseling and job-hunting assistance.
